On behalf of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), let me extend my warmest greetings to all the participants of the 35th Philippine Business Conference & Expo.

For the past years, the PBC&E has served as a fundamental link between the business community and the government in attaining national economic goals and progress. Once again, the PBC will serve as the premiere venue for dialogue among businessmen and key government officials to discuss needed policy reforms that will further boost our country’s economic advancement.

The PCCI selected the theme “One. Global. Filipino. Regional Economic Development: Frontline to Sustainability” for this year’s event to underscore the important role of local and regional development in the overall agenda of national economic development and competitiveness in light of the global financial crisis. It recognizes the importance and advantages that a strong, resilient, and

On behalf of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), I am honored to invite you to the 35th Philippine Business Conference and Exposition (PBC&E) this coming October 20-22, 2009 at the Manila Hotel.

The annual PBC&E is the most widely attended and highly regarded business conference in the country. Each year, it is able to attract over a thousand business and industry captains and policymakers to dialogue on key issues and challenges confronting the business community in the local and global fronts.

This year’s theme, “ONE. GLOBAL. FILIPINO. Regional Economic Development: Frontline to Sustainability”, will highlight the role and potentials of regional and local economic development in responding to the global economic slowdown and in the overall agenda of national economic development and competitiveness.

An innovative program has been crafted to enable stakeholders from both national and local government, private sector bodies and international development partners, to openly engage with delegates in identifying measures and strategies to sustain resiliency in these times of conundrum and to enhance economic growth and sustainability.
